300 FOR SRH? SRH FAIL TO GET PAST EVEN 200 AS LSG WIN BY 5 WICKETS.

Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) stormed to their first win of the season with a dominant chase against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH), turning the tables on their hosts in a high-scoring contest.
Despite SRH’s history of big totals at home, they faltered this time, managing only 190/6, as LSG’s disciplined bowling unit executed their plans to perfection. While Travis Head’s quick cameo and steady middle-order contributions kept the scoreboard ticking, SRH lacked a big knock to anchor their innings.
In response, Nicholas Pooran (50 off 20) and Mitchell Marsh (52 off 26) came out with aggressive intent, putting on a 116-run stand in just 43 balls, which all but sealed the game. Though Pat Cummins managed to strike late, Abdul Samad’s quick cameo ensured LSG cruised home with 23 balls to spare.
With this emphatic win, LSG sent a strong message to the tournament, showcasing their explosive batting depth and tactical precision.

Latham will miss the Pakistan ODIs due to a fractured hand.
New Zealand have suffered a setback ahead of their ODI series against Pakistan, with Tom Latham ruled out due to a fractured right hand sustained during training. In his absence, Michael Bracewell will captain the side, while Henry Nicholls has been called up as a replacement.
Latham, who was set to lead the team in the absence of Mitchell Santner (IPL commitments), underwent X-rays confirming the injury, ruling him out of the series. Bracewell, who already led the team in the T20I series, will continue in charge.
Meanwhile, Will Young will leave the squad after the first ODI in Napier as he prepares to welcome his first child. Rhys Mariu, a 23-year-old uncapped batter with a first-class average of 61.73, has earned his maiden call-up as cover.
Earlier, uncapped players Muhammad Abbas and Nick Kelly had also received their maiden ODI call-ups, while Kane Williamson opted out of the series. New Zealand head into the ODIs with momentum after clinching the T20I series 4-1 against Pakistan.
